The shock loss to the US national team by the Spanish Armada sent ripples through the football nation. On one hand I’m very happy that the US won, because on the day they seemed the more determined of the teams, forcing the Spanish team to adjust their game to try to counter the US onslaught. On the other, I disappointed that I won’t be able to see the final that I’m sure we all wanted to see. All in all, it was a good victory by the US and now we await the result from the Brazil vs. South Africa game.
