What I Learned From This Past Weekend In Football

)Torres and Lampard are Chelsea’a downfall. In his current form, Torres can’t seem to hit a barn door. Granted he scored a beauty of a goal, the two sitters that he threw away seem to give evidence to my argument. Lampard is way past his best and Abramovich and co need to recognize this.

)Adebayor might just be the signing of the season for Tottenham. The Togolese striker has struck up a great relationship with Jermaine Defoe and the two seem to be firing on all cylinders. I guess it helps alot that Modric is in form as well.

)Real Madrid and AC Milan aren’t invincible. Despite having great starts to the season, they both fell to ‘lesser’ opponents.

)Barcelona are still the best team on the planet and Fabregas makes them even stronger. The understanding that Cesc and Messi are displaying at the moment is nothing short of magical.

5) Manchester United are the BEST team in England. The ease with which they dispatched Arsenal and Chelsea should be taken as a serious sign of intent as they can only defeat themselves on the way to the PL trophy.

)Manchester City have a LONG way to go to match Manchester United. Their mental frailty was all to plain to see against a resilient Fulham team.

)People can’t sleep on Juventus anymore.

)Inter Milan who?

)Time for Arsene to go. Arsenal’s defeat to bottom of the table Blackburn Rovers should be the last straw. Their blind faith in a tactician that clearly hasn’t gotten it right since the invincible is beyond me. It’s almost as if mediocrity seems to be their goal.

)Premier League Fantasy League football isn't for me. I just can't seem to get a break.
