What I learned from The Last Clasico of 2011!

Dani Alves, Xavi and Cesc celebrate after one of the goals on the night. AFP
1) Pep Guardiola has nothing more to prove.

2) Luck and skill go hand in hand.

3) Christiano Ronaldo is not worth his exorbitant price tag.

4) Xavi is the best player in Barcelona’s ranks and should be the true Balon d’Or winner.

5) Real Madrid have indeed closed the gap on Barcelona, but are way too wasteful to be considered in
their opponents class.

6) Jose Morinho had a great plan in the first half, but Pep’s counter turned the tide.

7) Barcelona are a lot more threatening when they play 3-4-3.

8) Puyol is slowly reaching the end of his incredible career.

9) Iniesta is almost unplayable when he is fit.

10) Cesc Fabregas as a ‘false’ number 9 is a master stroke by Pep.

11) Barcelona are more reliant on their midfield dominance than Messi.
