
After a rather eventful week in the world of football we entered this weekend with less than normal vigor and interest in the game. No big match ups were offered this was to be the run of the mill weekend before the Clasicos. But for some fans out there, this turned into the most exciting footballing weekend thus far.

How can you mention this weekend and not include AC Milan's victory against Cagliari, which described the Rossoneri's brand as 'champagne football'. Ronaldinho who has managed to shed some pounds in recent times to keep the fatboy comments from the press at bay, seemed to be really enjoying his football with a display of deft touches, when linking with his country man Alexandre Pato in the front line.
